"Helping people get to work” is the motto of Job Rides; whose mission is to provide rides to work for Des Moines residents who need it most. Job Rides' fleet of vans and drivers operate three shifts every day, picking up and taking riders to specific employers. Eight vans and drivers serve between 135-150 daily riders, making transportation technology critical to operations and expanding service to more riders. Job Rides seeks to raise funds to acquire software that’s been demonstrated to manage, track, and optimize fleets and services. In 2022 – Job Rides’ first year of business - employee riders earned $2.6 million in income, contributing to the economy and community while improving their lives. This program is unique in serving those in homeless shelters, on work release, and refugee programs by picking up workers where they live. Job Rides is committed to helping riders maintain jobs through reliable, accessible transportation.
